Yeah, so to anyone who cares, this is not my normal journal. It's just a place where I stick some fanfic and icons, especially for the VM fandom. I do write commentaries for VM episodes on my other journal which you can find here (not that I provide any real insight other than my rambly incoherent thoughts that are probably repeating everybody else's out there who can say it far better than I can). But I also usually friend-lock those posts because I blather on about many other topics, which I'm not sure even my f-list cares about. So maybe I'll start posting my comments here when I remember to do so. Here are my comments for the last 2 eps under the cuts:
3x13: Postmortem Game
MOTW
-I was really hoping that the fact that the MoTW dealt with basketball it would mean that Wallace would be in more than 2 little scenes. C'mon!
-Josh was kinda cute though so I'm sure he'll be the killer. :) Veronica really seemed pretty sympathetic to him even though she also seemed skeptical. Not sure what was up with her behaviour.
-I guess because it's a two-parter they could get away with not devoting much time to it, but it really seemed too apparent that they weren't caring about the mystery that much.
Logan, the babysitter
- meh to the contrived storyline
- still the kid was pretty damn good and transcended the schmoopiness of the storyline -- not too precocious, sweet but just a tiny shade annoying, like a real little kid.
-Oh, please, Logan! One drunken phone call to Veronica and he expects her to fall back in his arms? How self-centred and arrogant. *Now* he's got too much pride to beg?? She's the daughter of an alcoholic. She's not going to tolerate drunken railing against her. I'm the daughter of alcoholics too and I totally would have done the same thing. I've hung up on my parents and I've erased messages from them when they're drunk. Plus, let's not forget his drunk "epic" speech where he immediately slept with Kendall afterwards. Not a good track record there. Seriously, why do these two not use e-mail??
-And having said that, the elevator scene was pretty freakin' awesome and absolutely nailed by all the actors.
The Dean Murder
-Why would Mindy hire Keith to find out who murdered Cyrus if she did it or if she's covering for Hank?
-And if she didn't do it, why not come clean with Keith, the man she's hired, about what's going on with the cars and that Cyrus was there so that he will look in the right direction? Did she seriously not think he'd find out anything with regards to her and Hank?
- How does Mindy not get lipstick EVERYWHERE?
Misc
-I'm a little saddened at how the PCH Bike Gang has deteriorated. It kind of says something about the show when one of the main elements of the first two seasons has fallen down so far.
-Have you ever had a prof care about your attendance in his class? Especially in first year? None of them even knew my name let alone whether I was there on a regular basis or not. I don't think I ever had a prof say boo to me about skipping his class even in my senior years.
-I thought it was a little random to suddenly include that Board Member, Mel Stoltz. Who the hell cares that much about their alma mater that they'd kill off a basketball coach (or the dean for that matter - but why kill him when O'Dell did what he wanted)? Any speculation as to what's up with that?
3x14: Mars, Bars
As for the WIP, I don't know when I'll be getting back to it. I'm majorly blocked and maybe that's because I haven't been feeling it with the latest episodes. But more likley, a lot of it has to do with the fact that Real Life is a little crazy right now and not likely to stop being crazy for a while. Sorry if anyone was hoping for an update soon.

3x14: Mars, Bars
- I loved everything to do with the mysteries. I really liked Josh. He and Veronica were very pretty together. Too bad he had to pull a Duncan.
- I found Mac extremely out of character to the point of her scenes being almost jarring for me. And there was something really off with Bronson in this episode and I didn't like him as much. Maybe he just needs more development.
- Not sure how I feel about them killing off Lamb. He was a character I loved to hate, but this season he was more comedy relief than anything and he seemed like he only had one note to play ("You know you're not Sheriff anymore, right Keith?"). Still putting him out of commission rather than killing him off would have opened up some interesting opportunities. They could've made Keith interim sheriff and had Lamb recovering only to come back and have to be Keith's deputy again. That would have been an interesting dynamic. Maybe we could have got some backstory on their animosity. Oh well. I'd love to know the reasoning behind killing him off. I'd like to think it was more than just to shock the audience into thinking no one's safe (you are no Joss Whedon, sir). How bad is Cliffie gonna feel about getting Richard Grieco out of jail? And what does it say when your character gets killed off by Richard Grieco?
- Logan and Parker. Meh. It felt forced. I get why Logan is 'moving on' but first, it's pretty damn quick considering his intense mopiness and it will make Veronica think she really was just another girl to him. And second, he hasn't learned anything if he's moved on to one of Veronica's friends. Is it totally impossible for him to be single and not banging anyone for a while and maybe get some perspective? Besides that, I really don't want him to be a romantic, nice guy (and yeah, I'll admit it, especially with someone other than V). I want the jackass back. Where's the guy from the credits outside a strip club with Dick? Can he not be the guy with the magic cock (as he's portrayed in soooo many fics) that's gonna heal Parker and make her whole? As for Parker, a tad on the skanky side to be making eyes at your friend's ex. But then maybe Parker has ulterior motives and has never really forgiven V for her unintentional part in her assault. Perhaps I'm being too suspicious though, but wouldn't that be interesting?
- Heh. Richard Grieco was an uncredited B-movie actor in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I don't remember him though.
